The Real Club Náutico de Valencia will host the Swan One Design World Cup and Nations League in 2022. An event that will be held between July 5 and 9, after concluding the XXIII SM La Reina Trophy, Marcial Sánchez Barcaiztegui Cup.
The elite of world cruising sailing, led by the Finnish shipyard Swan, will call in the waters of the Gulf of Valencia, competing for this prestigious and important trophy of the Club Swan 50, Swan 45 Club Swan 42 and the new Club Swan 36 classes. , a thoroughbred designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian that incorporates great innovations such as revolutionary foils, a flexible rig and the forward position of the crew, providing a great show on the race course, as has been seen in the last regattas in which has taken part.
The Valencian appointment hopes to be able to bring together about 50 boats representing more than 15 countries. Teams that will have an extensive program ahead of them, counting on the best possible test such as competing in the SM La Reina Trophy, something that has already been confirmed by some of the best Swan projects on the international scene.
The program for the Swan fleet will begin on Monday, July 4, giving way to the official training regatta on Tuesday. The competition, with four days of regattas, will take place between the days of Wednesday 6 to Saturday 9 July.
