Manuel Calavia wins the Class A Regatta

The Barcelonan has been incontestable with all victories in the five contested races.

The Real Club Náutico de Valencia has celebrated this weekend the Class A Regatta, which every year brings together some of the most outstanding sailors on the national scene. The regatta, in which a dozen catamarans of this class have taken part, between the classics and the "flying" or with foils, has had a total of 5 contested races, three yesterday Saturday with wind between 17 and 18 knots and a lot of bottom wave that complicated the day for these boats and two today Sunday with a easterly wind between 8 and 12 knots.

At the end, an absolute victory for Manuel Calavia, from the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, with all first places in the five contested races, and with the second place for Rafa Gómez from RCN Valencia, who has signed a regular performance with four third parties and a fifth that has been discarded. Completing the podium was Kiko Espí, also from Valencia, who started yesterday with a second place in the first test, but due to the strong waves he suffered a collision with Abdón Ibáñez's catamaran, which left both out of the game in the second test. And while Espí returned to the competition yesterday, Saturday, completing the next three tests, Ibáñez had to wait until today, Sunday, to join the competition, having to settle for sixth place. The fourth and fifth place have been, respectively, for Toni Ballester and Enrique Cornejo, with only one point difference between them and with respect to the third.
