M8 leads the 7th Varadero Trophy at the Real Club Náutico de Valencia

The 7th Varadero Trophy was released at the Real Club Náutico de Valencia. The second test has been the opposite of the first, which took place on October 23 in which the wind did not make an appearance, so it was left blank.

Now yes, after a postponement of November 6 to this Sunday, Eolo wanted to participate in the cruise party of the RCN of Valencia, reaching 18 constant knots of the 260º, which has allowed a test, on a triangle in the area of 'Manel Casanova' regatta of 8.15 nautical miles finishing at the mouth of the Club.

The speed of the regatta is reflected in the 'big ones'. Arturo Meseguer's Aquarelle, a Frers 45, completed the course in less than an hour. Meseguer's boys stopped the clock at the finish in 57' 20", being the great dominator in real time. From behind, two boats were the ones that followed his wake. The M8 by the French Armengot brothers (Grand Soleil 43) and the Majoche, by Alejandro Fliquete (First 40.7).

The first of them, closer to Aquarelle, took advantage of its greater length and knew how to make the most of its numbers. With an invested time of 1 h. 02 '35" he was second in real followed by Majoche being the dominator in that 40-foot strip, although he could do little with the two 'big ones'. Still he closed his tour in 1 h. 10' 30". The rest of the fleet was arriving at the mouth of the Club very stretched and with the favorites well positioned, in the case of Nuerored, X-Cuba, GDES-Aerox and UP Valencia and with the calculator in hand, since that wind to many It favored others the opposite: it penalized them for their number in the rating, especially after the joint provisional general was closed, encompassing all classes.

With all this in the ORC 1-2 class the first three places went to M8, followed by Aquarelle and Majoche. The ORC 3 class triumph has been for Neurored, followed by Blinking and Restlessness-Alhambra. In ORC 4-5 Tavana was first, second and third place went to Formidable TAI and Strategos IV respectively. In the Promotion fleet, Vimara, Plis Plas and Suiero make up the provisional podium.

In the absolute, provisional general classification and with the closure of the third test scheduled for November 27, M8 leads the group, followed by Aquarelle, Neurored, Majoche, Tavana, UP Valencia, Vimara, X-Cuba, GDES-Aerox and closing the top have the Blink.
