The Optimist of the RCN of Valencia rule in the appointment of Altea

The Club Náutico de Altea celebrated this past weekend a new installment of the FVCV Autonomous event for the Optimist class. A total of 165 sailors from the Valencian Community and Murcia have gathered in the bay of Altea on November 12 and 13 to participate in this scoring regatta for the regional ranking of the Optimist A and B classes for the 2022-2023 season. .

On Saturday, the first day of the regatta, the good conditions for sailing in the bay of Altea allowed the committee to carry out a total of 4 tasks for the Optimist A and 3 tasks for the Optimist B. The wind blew from the east with intensities of 10 to the 14 knots.

On Sunday the wind left a last day with less wind, with a maximum of 10 knots and northeast direction. The first start was given at 12:00 p.m. and two sleeves could be completed for each category.

A regatta that was once again marked by the color of the Real Club Náutico de Valencia in all categories. On the one hand, Eduardo Reyes is the Absolute Champion, just like Blanca Ferrando did in the women who is unstoppable, as is Marta Ferrando in the SUB13.

In Optimist B Romina Vicent brought the title of Optimist B home. She also once again demonstrated Alexandra Youji's level in the U11, the Valencian's second win after the title won in Vigo.

The other winners of the Alteana regatta were Diego Harris from RCN Torrevieja in Optimist B and his Club mate: Juan F. Chumilla.
