OptiOrange receives the ‘Emprén Esport 2021’ award in the Grassroots Sports category

The OptiOrange, a regatta organized by the RCN Valencia and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, has been awarded the 'Emprén Esport 2021' award in the Grassroots Sports category, a program promoted by the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, chaired by Juan Roig, and the MARCA sports newspaper, in collaboration with the Valencia Basket Club.

The event, which on this occasion and given the health situation has been held at the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation much shorter and shorter, was attended by Elena Tejedor, Director of the Foundation, Juan Ignacio Gallardo, Director of the sports newspaper Marca y Alejandro Fliquete, president of RCN Valencia, among other personalities and winners.

The Optimist class regatta in the capital of Turia, with four years of life, has managed to position itself as one of the most important events of Children's Sailing, not only in the Valencian Community, but also in the national and international sphere as well as endorse the 345 sailors from 27 countries that gathered in the last edition.

The award, to which 285 projects were eligible for 14 awards in 5 categories and under the slogan "Sport always rises up", has been and is an important boost for OptiOrange, especially for sailors, as Alejandro Fliquete points out. : “It constitutes a great boost for the young Valencian sailors since this very important regatta is disputed at their home with a very high participation, in which the five continents have been represented and, at the same time, we put Valencia on the world map again of the candle ”.

The OptiOrange 2021 regatta is scheduled to take place between March 4 and 7, subject to changes and according to the evolution of the Covid 19 pandemic.
