Last weekend the last test to configure the Optimist team that will represent the Comunitat Valenciana in the National of the class in Bayonne was held at the Calpe boathouse. The Calpine event, within the framework of the RCN Calpe-Children's Sailing Trophy, was a new success for our sailors, highlighting white Ferrando, doubly by achieving the SUB13 title and absolute category, Y Martina Mantovani when the bronze in Absolute Feminine.

With the results obtained in Calpe, the FVCV has made public the list of the 20 sailors who will participate in the national class in Bayonne, with RCN Valencia being the one that contributes the most to the Community team, with a total of 6 representatives: Carlos Espí, Guillem Balaguer, Rafael de Tomás, Blanca Ferrando, Irene de Tomás and Enrique de Tomás, the top 5 by classification in the federation ranking, while Enrique by technical criteria. Added to them is the presence of our coach: Javier Dusmet at technical staff of 4 coaches and 1 Team Leader.

After the Valencia sailing event, with these six sailors, the RCR Alicante will be represented by 4; CN Santa Pola and RCN Dénia with 3; CN Jávea with 2 and the RCN Torrevieja and CN Jávea clubs with 1 sailor.

It should be noted, within the Optimist FVCV ranking and after completing 4 tests (2 pending: Campello and Santa Pola), Carlos Espí is the leader, followed by Guillem Balaguer, while Rafa de Tomás is 4th, followed by Blanca Ferrando. The 11th place of Enrique Ferrando and the 16th and 19th obtained by Irene de Tomás and Martina Mantovani stand out, placing a large number of sailors from the Club among the 20 best in the Valencian Community in the Optimist class.

The FVCV sports program, led by Riky Stadel, includes training in Altea between March 19 and 21, with training sessions in the water, technical talks and material preparation.
