The Valencia Children's Sailing Trophy - Regatta in favor of UNICEF brings together 70 athletes this weekend

The Real Club Náutico de Valencia celebrates this weekend the Valencia Children's Sailing Trophy - Regatta in favor of UNICEF, an appointment that is a classic in the September calendar of the Valencian club, and that traditionally brings together nearly two hundred class sailors Optimist. As usual, the regatta allocates a part of the registration fee to collaborate with UNICEF vaccination campaigns.

This year, according to the measures of the Competition Committee of the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community, only the Optimist A class participates in the regatta, being the Autonomous Championship and scoring for the ranking. The test has the participation of 70 child sailors from all over the Valencian Community, who will complete a maximum of six tests between the days of Saturday and Sunday.

The club has launched a Covid -19 prevention protocol that will be applied in all its dinghy sailing events. For this, an outdoor space has been set up that will serve as a control and security point, and in which the boats will be located by clubs, as bubble groups that will not have contact with each other. In addition, other measures have been implemented, such as temperature control, preferential use of e-mail for sending documentation, safety distance, provision of hydroalcoholic gel and mandatory use of a mask on land.
