Club History
The Real Club Nautico de Valencia was established in 1903 as a private sports association for the promotion of culture and activities that have the sea as a medium. After almost 80 years next to the port of Valencia, the need for more leisure space led us to move our facilities to its current location, next to the new mouth of the Turia River and only ten minutes from the city center.
In 1992 we expanded our facilities, from 75,000 m2 on land and 144,000 at sea to 100,000 on land and 250,657 m2 in the water. The number of moorings also increased from 1,011 to 1,206, thus becoming the yacht club with the largest area in the country.
Since 1998, the Club has collaborated with the Municipal Sports Foundation of the City of Valencia in promoting sailing among Valencian children through training courses. A year later, we were designated Club of the Year and in January 2000 we were granted entry into the Royal Order of Sports Merit, in the silver plate category.
