Chatín and Majoche win the Home Trophy - Dona

The Home - Dona Trophy today kicked off the RCN Valencia cruiser-class racing season after the outbreak of the health crisis. The club has made a great organizational effort to be able to celebrate the largest possible number of the tests that were postponed between March and September, and that now coexist with the usual calendar of these months, adapting the tests to the current situation with all the measures of security.

24 boats have set out to sea to measure forces in a coastal route of 18 miles divided into two categories: Home - Dona and Mixed Crew. In the first of them, the teams are made up of a man and a woman, and in the second they are more numerous and mixed teams.

With difficult conditions, with intense wind and shifty, the fleet has completed the journey to El Perelló, offering a beautiful view from the Saler beaches.

Shortly after two o'clock in the afternoon the first boats began to cross the finish line, after a journey in which the fastest invested two and a half hours and around 3 and a half the least. Chatín, by José Francisco Rubio was the winner in the Home - Dona category, with second place for Newkote by Óscar Chulvi and with Kamchatka Dos, by Agustín Albiach completing the podium, all of them with very tight arrival times.

In the mixed crew, the champion was Majoche, by Alejandro Fliquete, closely followed by the new M8 by José Luis Francés, both from RCN Valencia and with Impulso by Raúl García Flores, third.
