Along with them, at the club facilities in the capital of Túria we will find the fleets of Finn, Vaurien, Snipe, Waszp, F18, Class A, Hobie16 and Patín a Vela. 'We are going to continue working to take advantage of the kilometers of coastline that we have in our Community and to continue being a meeting point for sailors from all over the world' said Rafel Chirivella, vice president of the FVCV. Along with them, at the club facilities in the capital of Túria we will find the fleets of Finn, Vaurien, Snipe, Waszp, F18, Class A, Hobie16 and Patín a Vela. And finally, it will be at the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja where the regatta will be held, which in turn is the Spanish Cup, for the Europe, Flying Dutchman and RC IOM classes.

Fernando Puig and Kevin Lewis win the Bahía de Altea Open in 420

The Open Bahía de Altea has returned for another year to launch the regional dinghy sailing calendar in 2024. After two days of intense regatta, the event closed successfully in the bay of Altea, the good weather conditions allowed the 6 scheduled races to be completed. The best ILCA 7, Flying Dutchman and 420 sailors from the entire Valencian Community have measured themselves in the water on January 20 and 21, with a significant participation of sailors from the RCN of Valencia. In the 420 class Fernando Puig, from RCN Valencia, together with his teammate Kevin Lenis from CN Jávea collected the first trophy at all. Alejandro Rodríguez and Jesús Campos from RCR Alicante were first in sub-17 and Carlota Gómez and Noor Saidi from CN Javea were first in female sub-17. The Puig-Lewis tandem was unrivaled in the fleet of 420, with 12 crews registered. Both made the absolute total, six out of six, after winning the six tests that the committee put into contention. Puig's success was accompanied by Pablo Bellver's fourth place in ILCA 7, leaving him just two points away from the podium. His partials were good: 2-7-2-8-6-2. That eighth place, at the start of the first test on Sunday and which he was going to remove later after applying the discard, took its toll on him. CLASSIFICATIONS

The Levante Trophy 2023 already has its champions. The event organized by the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, scoring for the FVCV Autonomous Cup for the ILCA 6, 29er and 420, has brought together 200 sailors from the Valencian Community, Madrid, the Balearic Islands, the Region of Murcia and with Ireland giving the international touch to the regatta. An edition that has been marked by the wind, although the Valencia event has shined once again for its excellent organizational level. Already on Saturday Eolo put the emphasis on the two regatta areas, greatly conditioning the program. A day that concluded with three tests for the Snipe, two for the 29er, 420, ILCA 6, Hobie Cat 16, Vaurien and Patín a Vela, while the ILCA 4 say goodbye to the Valencian event with one. On the second day the wind was completely absent and after several hours of delay in the water, with the fleet ready to start, the committee hoisted 'Intelligence on A' and everyone ashore around 3:00 p.m. without being able to complete a test , validating yesterday's results to configure the podiums in the participating classes and in the respective categories of the ILCA fleet. Along these lines and in terms of the double classes, starting with the 29er, the podium has been closed with Sara and Isa Momplet (RCN Valencia). Three partial victories have helped him win the title. Silver and bronze for Elena de Tomás and Obdulia Fernández de Ybarra and Mateo and Simón Codoñer, all from the host club. Jávea has commanded the podium of the 420, although the gold travels to Alicante thanks to Joaquín Valero and Guillermo Rodríguez (RCR Alicante). The podium in the Vaurien class has been very even, although the victory remains at home thanks to the 4 points achieved by Carlos Francés and Susana Gil (RCN Valencia). The second was for Tim Corcorán and Pilar Perlines, who have added 5, while Eduardo Belosillo (CN Serranillos) and Esperanza Pérez (RCR Cartagena) are third on the podium with 10 points. No surprises in the Snipe fleet, although the final result was conditioned by the absence of tests on this second day. RCN de Madrid, with Fabio Bruggioni and Andre Rosa, take the Levante Trophy. The money goes to Can Pastilla with Víctor Pérez and Luca Rosa. The bronze is distributed, with the crew formed by Joaquín Armengot (RCM Santander) and Jovi Marzal (RCN Valencia). Sara and Isa Momplet and Mateo and Simón Codoñer, Spanish 29er champions

The sailors of the Real Club Náutico de Valencia have shone with their own light this past weekend, in three different parts of our geography. At the RCN in Laredo the 29er boys took the podium, and only on the last day did they escape from achieving absolute total. Until the third day, the three podium places had the color of the RCN of Valencia with Elena de Tomás and Obdulia Fernández in third place, along with the Momplet tandem first and the Codoñer second. After four days of competition, on a very complicated regatta course for the 21 registered crews, with very variable wind conditions and being able to complete a total of 10 races out of 14 programmed, Sara and Isa Momplet win the title of champions of Spain 29er, Simón and Mateo Codoñer doing the same. The girls have been immeasurable in Cantabrian waters, nothing more and nothing less than they have achieved 8 partial victories out of 10 regattas held, in the other two they have finished 4th and 2nd in the first and fourth races respectively. This means that they conclude the national team with 8 points, after two discards. The Codoñer tandem finishes with 26 points. Behind, in women, silver for the Balearic Islands Susana Bestad and Mª Teresa Martín (RCN Palma), with 32 points, while the bronze in this category goes to De Tomás and Fernández, who finish tied with the Palmas with those 32 points. As for the boys, accompanying the sailors from the RCN of Valencia, Santiago Núñez and Ricardo de March (CN Garraf) and the Canarians Jaime Lang-Lenton and Diego Power get on the box. It is worth highlighting, as for the sailors of the RCN of Valencia, the girls Alice Gasperini and Marta Moscardó, 2nd in the Senior category and 14th in the absolute general classification, a classification in which Leandro Ramón and Lara Luz Mª Prokop Quiroga, finish in the position 11. Antonio Gasperini, champion of the Waszp Spanish Cup in the Mar Menor In the waters of the Mar Menor and organized by the Sailing Federation of the Region of Murcia, Fun Foil Fest Los Alcázares Mar Menor closed this past weekend, with the Waszp Spanish Cup at stake. A regatta in which two other sailors from the RCN of Valencia have been missing: Isis Collado and Quicorras Urios, both of whom have headed to San Francisco to compete in the SailGP final. But what has given everything, to the point of taking the final victory, has been Antonio Gasperini, who has brought the title of champion of the Spanish Cup to Valencia. With six races completed and this regatta greatly conditioned by the light and unstable wind, Gasperini closed his participation with five partial victories and a fourth place, leaving him with 5 points, compared to 9 obtained by Ion Ander Basurto, from CN Hondarribia. The bronze went to Mikel Vázquez, CV Navarra, with 14. Our Borja Chulvi finished in fourth place with 18 points. Toni Ballester and Abdón Ibáñez, gold and silver in the Mar Menor in Class A In the same regatta, within its program, Class A competed, with representation from the RCN of Valencia. A new success for the Club's sailors. Toni Ballester and Abdón Ibáñez take the podium, first and second respectively in the overall standings. The same positions they occupy within the flying category. Irene de Tomás, adds and continues in ILCA 6 The RCN del Abra has hosted the Spanish Cup ILCA 6. A championship that has been marked by weather conditions, with fog, little wind and many wind instability on the regatta course, Only two tests can be completed, enough to validate the championship. Our Irene de Tomás has managed to close this championship in a brilliant third place in SUB19, while in her SUB17 category she achieved first place.

The 29er Spanish Cup is 'played' at the Real Club Náutico de Valencia

The 29er, Class A, Hobie Cat, Vaurien, Patín de Vela, F18, Snipe and Finn classes will be concentrated at the RCNV Regatta Base these three days, highlighting the first of which has a double incentive for the 25 registered boats, as which adds to the Olympic Week trophy the title of champion of the Spanish Cup. A regatta that has been authorized by the RFEV for the participation of the international fleet, so sailors from Germany and Poland will participate in Valencia. The 29er Spanish Cup has several clear favorites for the title. The locals Mateo and Simón Codoñer and Sara and Isa Momplet stand out without a doubt, both crews sailing under the banner of the RCN of Valencia. We must also highlight the crews of the RCN of Palma and RCN of Gran Canaria, who arrive with new wisdom, sailors who have made the leap to 29er and who promise a lot, being very valid options to be on the podium next Sunday. Along these lines are the return to class of the representatives of the RCM of Santander, arriving in Valencia with three crews. The CV of Santoña, for its part, has a team, like the CN Garraf. Regarding Class A, locals Rafael Gómez and Abdón Ibáñez start as clear favorites for the title. The first of them defended the title in Olympic Week. In the absence of the 2022 champions in F18, the “protagonism” is assumed by the runners-up in that last edition: Fabián Migoya and Alberto Torné, who will have rivals who can surprise in the 'Manel Casanova' regatta area. As for the Hobie Cat 16, the tandem José Antonio Llabrés (CR Pobla Marina) and Luis Llabrés (RCN de Valencia), current champions of Spain, are the clear favorites for first place in the box. As for Patín de Vela, there are several options, with the sailors from the RCN of Valencia having the greatest prominence as they are the representatives with the largest number of registered participants. The fight in Vaurien's fleet will mainly focus between Carlos Francés and Francesco Zampacavallo. Los Snipe has a fleet in Valencia that reaches 26 boats. High level in one of the heaviest dinghy sailing classes in Valencia and although the absence of some heavyweight crews stands out, the level is very high in Valencian waters, making a possible podium forecast for Sunday unpredictable. The program at the RCN of Valencia has been established with a total of 12 tests in the three days of competition. In all of them, except for changes, the top start has been established at 12:00 p.m. The RCN of Valencia is part of the Comunitat Valenciana Olympic Week, within the Spanish Olympic Sailing Circuit, together with the headquarters of the RCR Alicante, RCN of Torrevieja and CN of Santa Pola, the latter two hosting the Spanish ILCA 6 championship and Formula Kite respectively, while at all venues the FVCV Autonomous Cup will be at stake for the classes: ILCA 7-ILCA 4 – 420, Techno 293-iQFoiL. Irene de Tomas, from the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, European champion ILCA 4
