This Wednesday, November 29, the Balearia Maritime Station in Denia has been the setting chosen by the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community to present the 9th edition of the Olympic Week, an international regatta that includes the main Olympic classes and pre-Olympic events and which brings together, every year, the world elite of Light Sailing in the Valencian Community, with the presence of the four clubs, with the RCN of Valencia represented by Marisa Arlandis, president of the RCNV, accompanied by Carlos de Beltrán, Manager and Pedro Quiroga, Sports Director. The sports project, which was born as part of the Madrid 2006 candidacy, has not stopped growing each season as a result of the commitment that the Valencian Community Sailing Federation has continued to make to keep this competition alive. This ninth edition, which is organized by the Valencian Community Sailing Federation together with the RCN Valencia, the RCR Alicante, the CN Santa Pola and the RCN Torrevieja and thanks to the support of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation and the Generalitat Valenciana, will be held from December 1 to 18 and has already confirmed 8 European and national titles at stake among the more than 21 modalities that will be in competition. The big news is that on this occasion, the test will also be the scene of the EuroCup for the 29er class during February 1 to 4 at the Real Club Náutico de Valencia. 21 modalities, 4 venues and 8 European and national titles at stake Divided into four venues, so that all modalities compete simultaneously, the regatta program is structured as follows: The Real Club Náutico de Valencia up to nine classes. The 29er will have a great novelty and that is that this pre-Olympic class, in addition to fighting for the national title, this time it is the Spanish championship, will also have the EuroCup at stake. Along with them, at the club facilities in the capital of Túria we will find the fleets of Finn, Vaurien, Snipe, Waszp, F18, Class A, Hobie16 and Patín a Vela. At the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante there will be the three ILCA modalities (4,6 and 7) along with the 420 and it will be the venue for the 2024 Spanish Championship of the ILCA7 class. The different modalities of IQFoil, Raceboard, BIC Techno 293 and windsurfing will meet at the Santa Pola Nautical Club. It will be here that the IQFoil will celebrate their 2024 Spanish Championship. And finally, it will be at the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja where the regatta will be held, which in turn is the Spanish Cup, for the Europe, Flying Dutchman and RC IOM classes.
