The 60th Great Valencia Trophy concludes, which has been held over two weekends

The Real Club Náutico de Valencia closed today the 60th edition of the Great Valencia Trophy, which has brought together the best sailors from ILCA, windsurf, 420, 29er and Snipe for two weekends. It is the most emblematic dinghy sailing regatta of the Valencian club, which this year has moved from April to November due to the health crisis, dividing the competition into two weekends.

La primera parte de la regata, destinada a las clases individuales – ILCA y windsurf en todas sus modalidades – quedaba en blanco el pasado fin de semana debido a la ausencia de condiciones. Sin embargo, en esta segunda parte del Gran Trofeo Valencia las clases dobles sí han logrado celebrar las pruebas suficientes para coronar a los campeones autonómicos de Snipe, 420 y 29er.

Quicorras and Filippo, unstoppable in 29er

La flota de 29er, que reúne a un buen número de jóvenes promesas, ha tenido como vencedores y campeones autonómicos a Quicorras Urios y Filippo Binetti, que hace veinte días lograban la cuarta plaza en la final de la EuroCup en el Lago di Garda. La dupla valenciana se ha mostrado brillante, sin dar tregua a sus rivales, con todo primeros puestos y un tercero que se han descartado.

Unbeatable on this second day in which three tests have been held, the Mallorcan Víctor Pérez Campos and Juan Carlos Serrano Pallicer, have won the victory, followed by the Andalusians Ángel Ballesteros (RCN Motril) and María del Mar Gómez, from the CN Sweet water.

The third overall place has been for Agustín Zabalúa and Belén Olivas, both from RCN Valencia, who have won the regional title.

Miguel Campos and Pablo Moreno win in 420

Con un total de tres pruebas disputadas y ningún descarte, la clase 420 ha tenido como vencedores a Miquel Campos, del RCRA y Pablo Moreno, del RCN Valencia, que se llevan a casa también el campeonato autonómico. La segunda y tercera plaza se han ido al CN Altea de la mano de Alejandro y Marino Arroyo, y Guillem Serrat y Aleksis Tjurnis, y con la primera plaza femenina para Silke Ter y Altea Súñer, del mismo club.

La entrega de trofeos ha contado con la presencia del presidente del RCN Valencia, Alejandro Fliquete, el secretario del club, Salvador Bueno, el delegado de vela, Rafael de Tomás; el vicepresidente de la Federación de Vela de la Comunidad Valenciana, Rafel Chirivella; y los capitanes de flota de Snipe y 29er del club valenciano, José Luis Maldonado y Javier de Tomás, y el secretario de clase Snipe, Salvador Bueno.

Second round of the Varadero Valencia Trophy
